Let Cuba Live

There's a special full-page ad in today's edition of the New York Times thanks to our partners at the People's Forum NY, ANSWER Coalition and CODEPINK. Over 400 politicians, labor leaders, clergy, activists and ex-heads of state are calling President Biden to immediately lift Trump's 243 sanctions on Cuba.

To all our labor affiliates who swiftly answered the call to stand against the U.S. blockade of Cuba: SOLIDARITY! Visit letcublive.org to view the open letter and sign the petition to President Biden now!

The allegation that Cuba has failed to address the COVID-19 crisis is simply dishonest. Cuba has produced some of the most effective vaccines in the world and plans to vaccinate 70% of its population by August.

The illegal U.S. blockade continues to severely damage economic life in Cuba, causing shortages of basic food and medicines in the middle of a health crisis. The UN General Assembly has voted to end the Cuban blockade every year for the last 29 years. Last week, over 100,000 Cubans mobilized in the streets of Havana to reject Western calls for military intervention and demand an end to the six-decades long U.S. blockade that aims to isolate and suffocate the people of the small island.

Cuba is our fellow workers, friends and neighbors. Our solidarity will pave the path for a better future between our peoples.
