ABORTION, RACISM & OUR FIGHT BACK! This Sunday.

Make no mistake. Reproductive health care is a workers’ issue and overturning Roe v Wade is a racist attack on our sisters. The SCOTUS decision today will only affect those women of limited economic means and disproportionately impact poor and working women of color. The health and safety of our sisters are all at risk.

The only reason abortion rights were achieved was because of the struggle of tens of millions of women, and those who support us, demanding justice in the 1960's and early 1970's. In our unions and in our communities, now is the time to erupt in the streets and fight back.

This Sunday, we’ll be dedicating time to coordinating union strategy and resources on abortion rights. Hear from union sisters on why abortion access is a labor issue and a racist attack on poor and working women everywhere. We'll also look at victories from unions abroad that have won reproductive rights for members.

64% of Americans support Roe v. Wade – the public option is clear. This fundamentally undemocratic reversal cannot stand unchallenged and we will not allow for our sisters to be criminalized, penalized, and imprisoned. This online gathering is open to active union members and staffers. Please share widely with your labor networks.
